Hello Bof,
I downloaded the software already. I´m gonna investigate in the near future. From your description, i guess, the software will be much better for my problem.

I´m also looking forward to the next versions.
KR Olaf
PS: Vielleicht schreibe ich Dir besser auf deutsch. Ist etwas einfacher ;-)

i wrote my own tool for the usb temper called utac. It's also a .net application, but maybe this works better for you.

Just take a look at: http://blog.n4rf.net/solutions/utac

I bought 2 of this devices. One of them already broken at delivery. The other works fine. The device driver works. In my case i want to use the system on a small system with low power consumption. So the dot.net framework was not so fine. Although the software is very awfull. No logging into file, no saving from propertys. And (it was a german dot.net and a german windows XP) half of the template is out of the window. And you cann´t change the windows size. I can not belive, that a company designs such a good device (if it works) and deliver it with such bad software.

The width of the plug is the same Mike (standard), however the back end always varies depending on the applications. Some sticks are longer and wider beyond the plug, so it helps to reference the actual size in most cases.

Why do they advertise the size of USB devices by showing them next to coins? Is there anybody who doesn't know how big a male USB connector is?

This is actually useful for folks who run remote datacenters and need to know if the heat's building up. Environmental monitors usually cost a lot more than $20, so this migt be worthwhile.
