Wii Boxing Glove Accessories Presumably For Use With WiiSports Boxing

You can pretty much guarantee that when a game system or electronic device gets popular the accessory makers will come out of the woodwork. It’s happened with the iPod, the Moto RAZR and now the Wii is getting its fair share of third party add-ons. Occasionally you’ll find one that’s actually useful but for the most part like these Wii Boxing Gloves they’re completely useless.

I guess the idea is to make the whole boxing experience seem more realistic by wearing an authentic looking pair of gloves. The Wiimote and Nunchuck are placed inside pockets on the back of the gloves and of course translate your punching motions to the characters on screen. But as someone who’s spent plenty of time playing WiiSports Boxing the controllers work best when held in a particular position, which I don’t see here. And between matches you need access to the buttons on the controllers to navigate the menus meaning you’ll have to remove the Wiimote every time. Having to do that every few minutes could get old really fast.

But if you feel this is what’s been missing from your own Wii Boxing experience you can pick up a pair of the gloves from Divineo.cn for $12.95.

These gloves do not work...do not buy.
  • They work for me. I like them, although I have to admit they aren't really necessary or that beneficial to play the game.

how do you use these gloves? I bought them and I can't get the sensor bar to pick up when I place the remote into the glove.
  • Wow! this will engage you physically
