Normally I look forward to Easter with it’s pleasant Spring-like weather and can enjoy a walk with the dog or some other outdoor activity. This year though I’m looking at snow falling in the backyard and sub-zero temperatures whenever I step outside. So instead I get to sit inside and write about Summer activities I might get to enjoy again some day, like this Giant Outdoor Building Block Game which seems oddly familiar to me…
Let’s face it, Hammacher Schlemmer might as well just called this game “Genga: But That First G Is Soft” because they’re not fooling anyone with this Jenga clone. That being said I’m still intrigued by this giant-sized version. I know how satisfying it is to see a normal-sized Jenga tower come crashing down so this version that starts out at 20 inches tall must be even more impressive when it topples. On the other hand the game can be frustrating enough without having to factor in the outside weather conditions as well.
The Giant Building Block Game comes with 56 wooden Pine pieces and is available from Hammacher Schlemmer for $49.95.
