It’s no surprise that since they’re able to cram an entire Atari console or Commodore64 into a single joystick these days that they can also cram a Game & Watch handheld unit into a keychain. What you’re looking at here is fully working, exact recreations of the G&W Donkey Kong and Legend of Zelda games right down to the split-screen, fold-down design that inspired today’s Nintendo DS.
And like the original versions these keychain models also include clocks with alarm functions if you need some sort of practical application to justify their purchase. I won’t say that it depresses me to think that many of our readers are too young to remember the original Nintendo Game & Watch systems but I’m glad they’ll have a chance to see what portable gaming was like when I was a kid…
