Coolskin Oven Gloves

It’s occasionally nice to find something that’s innovative but doesn’t need charging, firmware updates or come with dead pixels. The Coolskin 375 series are basically oven ‘gloves’ instead of oven ‘mitts’ and while this may not seem that impressive to some people, thinking back to the many, many times I’ve dropped hot trays or pots it makes me wonder why the ‘mitt’ design was ever chosen over the ‘glove’ design in the first place.

The Coolskins are made from DuPont NOMEX and KEVLAR fabrics which allows them to remain flexible enough to easily grip any handle or utensil while at the same time withstanding temperatures up to 640?F. And while the gloves being worn in that picture may look far too big for that person’s hands the site actually encourages choosing a larger size so the gloves remain comfortable and flexible.

The Coolskin Oven Gloves range in price from about $34 for the smallest sizes to about $48 for the larger sizes that include a full length sleeve for extra protection.
