The Creative Zen Aurvana

Creative Zen AurvanaBy David Ponce

We’re guessing the funky name is a hybrid of nirvana and auricular, and if that’s the case, that’s a lofty goal. The Aurvana’s from Creative are their reasonably priced response to Shure’s E2cs. These in-ear headphones keep up to 90% of ambient noise out and deliver crystal clear music, with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and a sensitivity of 115dB and 20dB at noise blocking. They are quite light, at 0.46 ounces, unlike the E2cs. And, also unlike Shure’s offering, they’re retailing well under $!00, with Amazon (Affiliate Link) listing them at $70.

C|Net’s posted a full review, and seems to like them.
