Hubble At Home

Kenko Digi Eyepiece (Image courtesy Akihabara News website)By Andrew Liszewski

The Kenko Digi Eyepiece is a small digital video camera specifically designed to attach to the eyepiece of your telescope. The camera can then connect to your PC via USB allowing you to capture stills and video of your nightly explorations, or simply allow a group of people to enjoy the celestial view on your computer’s monitor rather than fighting for time on the telescope’s eyepiece.

While this probably won’t appeal to the hardcore hobby astronomers out there (0.3 MP) the Digi Eyepiece might be just the thing to spark a child’s interest in astronomy.

Damn, I want one of these. But I can't find a price anywhere. Cheap enough, it would be great to calibrate a telescope.
