Is That A PLANon DocuPen RC800 In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Happy To See Me?

By David Ponce

At almost nine inches long, I wouldn’t exactly recommend carrying this in your pocket. The PLANon DocuPen RC800 is, however, a highly portable, somewhat stylish scanner. It will scan a full 8.5 inch page in 4 seconds, and store the data in it’s 8MB memory, enough for “100s” of pages. If that’s not enough, you can expand the storage via MicroSD.

The nice thing about it, is that it can do its job untethered. Once you’ve done all your scanning, bring the unit back home and download all the data via USB (1.1 and 2.0).

It’s a cool $300, at the Planon website.
