WabbelLab, Control A Game With The Camera In Your Mobile

By David Ponce

If you own a Nokia 3650, and maybe even a 7650, you might be in luck. WabbelLab is a game made for these handsets, with the special feature that it can be controlled with the phone’s camera. The game is a digital recreation of that game with a tilting maze and a metal ball. You have to get the ball from one spot to another without it falling into the holes. You know the one, I’m sure.

Well, in this version, you can choose to control the ball with the phone keys, or, with the camera. Simply point the camera at a surface with high contrast (like a dark floor with a piece of white paper on it) and tilting the phone about will move the ball in the appropriate direction.

Kind of neat, I thought.
