Cellphone As Media Center Remote

By David Ponce

So let’s say you have a dedicated PC running Microsoft’s Media Center. It’s all nice and dandy, it’s got all your media and such, except well, you’ve got no remote. Do you have a bluetooth enabled mobile? Well then, make that your remote.

With the FlyingSaucer, a little piece of code, you can do just that. There’s a very clear step by step on the site. The gist is, upload one part of the software to your PC, the other to your phone, tell them to meet and make friends, and now you can use the phone as a remote.

I think it’s freeware, but I might be wrong. Check it out, again, right here. Story VIA eHomeUpgrade.
