My wife sent this to me today, and I'm afraid to say that the more emotionally intelligent gender of us humans (maybe the more intelligent in general ) is seriously at odds with my way of seeing the world after work: if I come home and my kid manages to lower his voice by just 1/5 that would matter more than the below. Good to have joined the forum, sorry this is off topic.

<a href="http://www.mansion-housez.info" rel="nofollow">"Homes are our immediate retreats from dizzying work days.</a> One of the ways to achieve calming interiors is by choosing relaxing colors and muted lighting. White or light colors have a calming effect to the eyes and senses. However, overdoing the white walls might just create a too-sterilized ambiance. To keep away from being too dull, use highlights like gold or yellow here and there. For your lighting, dimmer lights and soft glows will not only relax your tired nerves but create drama in your interiors.
The placement of candles near mirrors, for instance, would replicate the soft glow and add to that romantic feeling."

You are correct in that it is Gigabits and not gigabytes. But what you are missing is that these chips are not used independantly, but instead are aligned together in groupings of 8 or 16 when used in a device like an SD card. So the 16 Gb chips will allow for compact flash cards that hold 16 or 32 Gigabytes of data. Devices with other form factors could hold many many times that amount.
