Dissecting The Google Mini

By David Ponce

It’s not everyday you get to see something real (as in, physically real) with the word “Google” on it, aside from, of course, your Google Adsense revenue checks. It turns out, Google’s got a bunch of stuff for sale. That’s not the point here though.

The dudes at Anandtech have an interesting article about just what comes in the box when you order a Google rackmount server, the Google Mini… one of the very same used on the search engines (yes, they sell them to the public).

On April 6th, the price was dropped to $3,000, which is somewhat reasonable. So they just bought one and took it apart, in true Anandtech fashion. Check it out here. Story VIA Digg.
