Dismembered Barbie Jewellery
This is somewhat disturbing, people… yet morbidly fascinating. It’s jewellery made from plastic doll body parts. A Barbie hand necklace here, and a Barbie eye brooch there. All created by artist Margaux Lange.
As many artisty people do, she dissociates herself from prices altogether. See, prices are such mundane symbols of capitalistic hegemony, their mere presence would tarnish all creative value… Of course, that’s my, er, interpretation of why I can’t find prices on her website. Nevertheless, yeah, uh, the prices are absent.
